What's a Winter Garden Lover to Do?

poinsettiatubloomThe holidays are such a colorful time of year and many of us are now wondering how to keep the plants we used for decorating alive and more importantly looking great after December.

Poinsettias can live for a long time, and with a little TLC, they can be enjoyed for many years to come.  Many years ago, I was babysitting a large Poinsettia named “Pointy” for a friend and we kept the plant in our South-facing living room window. I was concerned that it was too cold for Pointy because we didn’t keep our house very warm in the winter, but Pointy did well and bloomed every year that we had “her.” Try your hand keeping your poinsettia looking great!
