Nope. Generally the farthest lake effect will go will be MAYBE 150 miles, and that would be in a SUPER organized band. Most of the time it'll hold up for 50-75 miles and then peter out, but that's usually in a fairly narrow band maybe 20-30 miles wide or so. You can go from a blizzard to sunny skies sometimes within a mile.

There is a video somewhere of the massive lake effect storm that hit Buffalo last year. The southern half of the city in spots got almost 6' of snow over a 48 hour period... the northern part got a few inches. The video looks over Lake Erie and you can actually see the divide. The massive clouds and heavy snow across the southern part of the screen, and north of that it's clear as a bell.
