A high-pressure system brings another hot day Friday with sweltering temps in the 90s and triple digits across the Southland.

Los Angeles and Orange counties will see temps in the low-90s, while the valleys and Inland Empire will be hot and humid with highs in the 100s.

Mountains and High Desert areas have a chance of thunderstorms, with highs expected in the low-80s and 100s, respectively.

Beaches remain sunny with temps in the low-80s.

According to the National Weather Service, the hottest conditions are expected to last through Sunday, when temperatures will be up to 10 degrees above normal for some inland areas.

An excessive heat warning is in place for most of the Southland. It is set to expire Sunday evening.
