This weekend is the weekend of the annual GBBC/ Great Backyard Bird Count run by Cornell University
in affiliation with the Audubon Society.  Thousands of people from Canada, the US and other countries
electronically submit reports of the number and types (species) of birds that they see in their own back
yards (or other favorite observation places).   I do this every year but with these temperatures we're having
today (10 degrees right now) I don't know how many birds I'll actually see.  They do this in February every
year before migrations begin to see which birds over-winter in which locations.
