In mid summer it averages mid 80's. The hottest it ever gets is about 102, and it only happens about once a year.

My grandparents used to live in south Florida, and I would go down every summer for a couple weeks. Since it's so close to the ocean, the hottest it ever gets is 95 degrees. But it's so far south that the sun is brutally strong, and with 90% humidity. There are also daily thunderstorms, every single afternoon/evening it would rain and thunder like the end of the world, and then 30 minutes later it stops. The cool part about Florida thunderstorms is that the sky can be stormy right above you, but you look right over to the horizon and the sky is blue and crystal clear. And sometimes even at your location it's rainy and sunny at the same time.
