I have seen snow every winter of my life, too, and have also experienced -50 degrees below zero wind chill.  There have been plenty of other times the wind chill was below zero here but -50 below was the worst ever.  It is ridiculous.  Like Aluelk said, you can get frostbite real quick in those conditions.  Your lips, face, hands..if not covered (and sometimes even if they are covered but you're out in it too long) can become frostbitten.  It's so cold that you can barely move your lips to talk.  Crazy-kind 'a cold.
